CDA’s Chief of the Community-Based Adult Services Branch (CBAS) receives Senator John Heinz Memorial Award

On September 22, 2016, Denise Peach (middle), Chief, Community-Based Adult Services Branch, received the National Adult Day Services Association’s (NADSA) Senator John Heinz Memorial Award for outstanding public service at the 2016 National Adult Day Services Conference in Indianapolis. Ms. Peach was honored for the knowledge, creativity, integrity and leadership she has demonstrated as an exemplary public servant who has made an outstanding contribution to adult day services. NADSA particularly noted Ms. Peach’s pivotal role in helping to shape the transition of California’s Adult Day Health Care Program, from being an optional Medicaid State Plan benefit, to being Community-Based Adult Services, a Medicaid 1115 waiver benefit.
