How To Find Services In My Area

The California Department of Aging contracts with and oversees 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) that coordinate a wide array of services to seniors and adults with disabilities. Not all AAAs provide Nutrition and Exercise (CalFresh Healthy Living).

What Services Are Available

CalFresh Healthy Living (SNAP-ED) is a program designed to assist individuals with leading a healthy lifestyle by providing nutrition education and physical activities. The CalFresh Healthy Living program will be administered by participating Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) which coordinate activities that address the following:

  • Living a healthy lifestyle
  • Eating healthy on a budget
  • Maintaining a balanced diet

Who Can Get These Services

Persons 60 years of age or older who meet the income eligibility requirement (CalFresh recipients age 60 and older)
  • Persons 60 years of age or older
  • CalFresh eligible (please contact the Area Agencies on Aging in your area for information regarding eligibility)
