Nola Baggett

Evidence-based Health Promotion

After her husband passed away, Nola Baggett had some falls, the worst of which broke her leg, requiring surgery and rehabilitation.

Finally recovered, Nola, 89, is diligent about improving her balance with regular participation in tai chi, tai ji quan, and strength training classes, all designed for older adults.

"It makes you feel so much better" to exercise, Nola says. "You meet people, and you leave with so much more energy.

"It’s good to get my life back on track," she adds. "I’m stronger now!"

Evidence-based Health Promotion programs embody services dedicated to empowering older adults in California for 50 years and counting.
