Approved Curricula All of California’s approved curricula are in a database on the Statewide Training site. CFHL programs may only use classes from this database.

Nutrition Education Reinforcement Items (NERI)

Fresh Baby items are priced under the acceptable dollar threshold for NERI items and align with Dietary Guidelines for Americans and USDA MyPlate.

Surveys and Data Cards for Evaluating Programs

CDA Data Collection Resources includes:

  • Demographic data cards.
  • The Food Behavior Checklist (FBC) is available in a short and a long version and is used for nutrition education curricula with at least four classes.
  • The Adult Physical Activity Survey (APAS) is used for physical activity curricula with at least four classes.
  • Guidance on which survey to use for a curriculum.

Civil Rights Training This online civil rights training is required every year for all staff.

Building Blocks for Success This CalFresh Healthy Living Building Blocks for Success course will provide an overview of SNAP-Ed, who it serves, the Integrated Workplan (IWP) Blueprint, fiscal, programmatic, and disability inclusion as well as resources.
