Connectivity Resources

Older Adults benefit from two types of connectivity for home and community-based services:

Broadband via Wi-Fi: Internet connection provided through router at a physical location such as a home, community center or place of business.
Broadband via 5G: Internet connection provided through a cell tower by a specific cellular provider that generally allows for better mobility in a community as long the cellular provider services the associated area.

Resources

Free or low-cost resources. Some resources may limit or have special conditions for those who qualify (ex: only for low-income, limited by geographic area, requires a subscription, etc.)

CDA Digital Connections Program, Home and community-based programs to help bridge the digital divide for older adults including purchasing digital devices, service plans, and training. Contact your local AAA, CBAS, MSSP, or PACE program. Visit the Find Services in My County Page.

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Low-income households to get discounts on service and devices
AT&T Access Program $10/month internet access
Aging Connected Eligible low-income households get internet services and connected devices
