Description:
The Access to Technology (ATT) for Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities is:
- A $48.5 million opt-in county grant program included in the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Spending Plan leveraging time-limited federal funds.
- Targeting a grant allocation date of October 2022 to counties who opt-in to participate.
- The funds are authorized through March 2025, but all funds should be expended by December 2024.
- This grant is intended to reduce isolation, increase connections, and enhance self- confidence for program participants.
- Authorized and defined in statute: WIC § 9104; CA State Assembly Bill (AB) 135
