Intrastate Funding Formula (IFF) Public Comment
Share Your Feedback on the Proposed Intrastate Funding Formula
We are reopening public comment on the proposed updates to California’s Intrastate Funding Formula (IFF).
The IFF is the method used to distribute Older Americans Act program funds across California’s Planning and Service Areas.
California’s population and the needs of communities across the state have changed. As part of SB 1249 implementation, we are working to develop an updated formula that is clear, sustainable, and better reflects today’s older adult population, community needs, and barriers to accessing services.
Public feedback is an important part of this work. We invite you to review the proposed formula and updated projections and share your perspective.
We welcome feedback on:
- Whether the proposed formula and its factors appropriately reflect needs across California;
- What considerations should inform the proposed hold harmless approach;
- Considerations that should inform implementation and the transition to an updated formula;
- What aspects of the proposed formula do you support; and
- Other information or perspectives CDA should consider before determining next steps.
